In Cognac, the âchâteauâ appellation is distinguished by its rarity. In order to use it, the entire process (vineyard work, vinification, distillation, aging, bottling) must be carried out on the estate itself. In Grande Champagne, Cognac Frapin is the only house to have such heritage: a 240-hectare vineyard in one plot, 100% Premier Cru, surrounding an 18th century castle and its annexes. Since 1923, the blending of very old reserves of the Château has renewed an exceptional cognac by its title, its origins, and the unalterable emotion that its taste brings.
Showing a complex bouquet with notes of candied fruit, dried apricot, almond and hazelnut unfold. As the tasting progresses, the aromas melt away, timeless and warm, later supported by the smoky note of ârancioâ, characteristic of very old cognacs. Fully generous, signature of the house, an exceptional length in mouth prolongs the pleasure.
