Grapes: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot

Ehret was launched in 1996, selling much of their fruit to prestigious Napa and Sonoma County wineries, and in 2005 deciding to reserve their highest-quality grapes for their own brand.

The 2021 Bella’s opens in the glass with aromas of cranberry cocktail and warm, Spring rains falling on the crush pad. The tightly wound tannin core is like a sprinter in the starting blocks, having already “Ready...” and “Set...” and just waiting for the starter’s pistol to unfurl its muscular frame and “GO!!!” The condensed tannin and fruit essences fakes the senses into a sweet sensation. When drawn out on the finish though, this glacéed exhibition is extended into a slatey palate with lilting fruit aromatics that echoes the seriousness of this bottling.
