Grapes: 50 % Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot

This is a simple story - La Caccia is inspired by an amazing piece of land in a part of Tuscany that has largely remained untouched for 1200 years. Dean Macfarlane, having been involved in the renovation of the neighboring Castello di Casole, fell in love with the surrounding Tuscan hills, culture and people. In 2016, he saw an opportunity to plant the vineyards of what would become La Caccia. The soil on the estate is incredibly unique and composed of clay, limestone, sand and granite - perfect components to create wines of greatness.  

Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot come together in this 2021 vintage to make a lighter, juicy Super Tuscan. It is fresh and floral and highly drinkable, with red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries and a herbaceousness of tomato leaf and oregano reminiscent of a classic Italian pizza.
