Château d'Yquem has a very long life span: twenty, fifty, a hundred years, or more… As with all great wines, Yquem is transfigured over time, developing a host of deliciously subtle aromas and flavours. Its color changes over the years from the brightness of dawn to the darkness of dusk, and from shimmering straw yellow to golden-brown with amber and caramel highlights, and then to mahogany.

Château d'Yquem 2021 is distinguished by its freshness and almond notes, combined with aromas of cedar, pineapple, pear, plum and tangerine. As the palate develops, flavours of candied lemon and orange emerge, accompanied by a rich floral bouquet reminiscent of broom flowers. Its fresh attack, smooth mid-palate and powerful structure give way to a long, suave finish, making this bottle a blend of freshness and delicacy. A great vintage for this iconic Sauternes wine.
