Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
The "Clos Blanc" is located next to the Grand Cru vineyards at the entry to the village of Pommard, and owed its name to the high levels of limestone and clay in the soil, giving it a notable white color. The wine comes from vines planted in 1966, planted in the these deep white soils which retain water well, giving the wine its body.
This Pommard opens with a generous nose, with the palate showing wild sage, mature fruit, sandlewood and musk. Full bodied, this is a powerful Pinot Noir with broad shoulders.
