Grapes: 100% Arneis
The Almondo Family has a deeply rooted history in the Piedmont region dating in the 14th century, but their attitude towards winemaking is anything but antiquated.
The Arneis grapes come from 3 different parcels, one being the hillside of Bricco degli Ciliegie, a former cherry orchard with a higher-than-usual limestone content in the soil. Fermented in stainless steel, the Almondos keep their wines on the fine lees for as long as possible, giving body whilst being Intensely mineral; this wine deserves to be in the conversation regarding the truly great white wines of northern Italy.
